Poetry

This series shows perspectives of veiled women who complement their urban Western surroundings (fair ground market), thereby adding a poetic level to these environments. As almost dream-like shapes they appear in Germany’s public urban life, adding diversity to it. These pictures were taken in 2013 and 2014 in Neukölln, Wedding and Mitte in Berlin. The images do neither argue for nor against the veil, but should rather make the observer recognize how other cultures complete and add to ours.
