Syrian Elsewhere

Is an exhibition which is looking at the sense of identity of Syrian refugees in Europe (Germany, Netherlands, France and England). Photo book, 21 photographic portraits and 2 video interviews describe people's experiences in their new surroundings and ask them about their loyalties to their homeland; Syria.

The portraits document different stages of their experience in a new society and ask questions like:
Do the Syrian men and women still feel pride in being Syrians?
How do they explain their loyality to their country?
How do parents explain the Syrian identity to their children?
