Sanctity on the wall

In many shops in Berlin that sell Arabic food, a wide variety of atmospheric motives decorate the walls. Those are pictures of holy places or quotes from the Quran. They remind of home. They create an atmosphere and they invite customers on a journey. In this series, I try to capture the beauty of silent walls and the approach of leading an everyday life in the German capital while keeping a strong bond to heritage and religion.
