I contacted the Turkish Sultans, a club for people passionate about riding motorcycles, like I am, and which has chapters all over Germany. Travelling across the country, I took portraits of 60 men and women in their personal surroundings, at home or at work. High horsepower motorbike riders are only the more unorthodox, maybe more intriguing drawcards of the series, but they’re also a symbol for vitality and joie de vivre as well as the professional success of those ‘arrivals’ whose portraits I’ve taken.
